Orlando Gonzales is a part of the Communications team at the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI). Orlando’s responsibilities include developing and managing a number of key strategic and day-to-day activities, both within the department and across PCORI. His larger projects include the PCORI Annual Meeting, PCORI’s peer review and public release process, and the department’s budget and performance metrics. Prior to joining the Communication’s team, Orlando was the Chief of Staff for Engagement at PCORI.

Orlando is an accomplished non-profit professional, having been inducted to Pi Alpha Alpha, the National Honor Society for Public Affairs and Administration, for his academic achievement. He has worked at the local and national level, where he has significantly impacted numerous communities by both volunteering and holding leadership positions with non-profit organizations. Orlando has more than than 15 years of experience in business and non-profit management.

He earned his BA in sociology from Georgetown University. In 2012, he graduated from the City University of New York Bernard Baruch School of Public Affairs in New York City with an MPA as a National Urban Fellow. He successfully completed his fellowship as a Program Officer at the Aetna Foundation, the independent charitable arm of Aetna Inc.

Orlando is a licensed REALTOR in Washington, DC, Maryland and Virginia.
